Bring the turbidity tube to your designated surface-water monitoring point.
Slowly fill the tube with your water sample until the cross marker at the base disappears from view.
The scale reading at that fill level is your turbidity result — record it in the site’s monitoring log.
Empty the sample and rinse the tube with clean water so it’s ready for the next reading.
